Profile

Trevor Van Damme was raised on a farm in rural Manitoba. He received both a B.A., Honors, and an M.A. in Greek and Roman studies at the University of Victoria. His primary research interests include the archaeology of ceramics and the negotiation of group identities, with a focus spanning the Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age of the Aegean. His master’s thesis examined the repurposing of Bronze Age artifacts and architecture in Iron Age through Hellenistic contexts. He has worked on archaeological projects in Greece and Italy. He was awarded a four year doctoral fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada to pursue graduate studies at UCLA. While at UCLA, he will work with Dr. Sarah Morris and Dr. John Papadopoulos.
